Our clan hosts LAN parties one Saturday a month unless otherwise posted on this website. The date and itinerary of the next event will be posted here as well. Any recommendations or requests for directions/attendance should be sent to me ([FroNT]Gregster) through my email. Currently hosting locations supply most of the hubs, cabling, tables, and chairs for the event. Everyone brings their own computer including surge protection and headphones. Everyone pitches in $10 for lunch (normally pizza) and BYOB. As these venues are usually apartments and/or homes discretion can be given for younger members (must be 18+ or prior permission must be granted).
We play mostly for fun. However, we do occasionally have a small tournament where prizes are given away. This will be posted in the itinerary and will depend on the number of members which show for that LAN. As this is a local DFW clan (founded mainly for LAN play), those wishing to join must attend two regularly scheduled events and then will be allowed to use our clan tag [FroNT].
Those members wishing to attend other clan-sponsored LAN events (e.g., TANGO, Fragwire, QuakeCon, GhettoLAN, etc.) are free to do so. Those members wishing to change clans and move on must remove our tag, but can keep their nickname, if they so desire. Those members wishing to be in more than one clan must use a different nickname other than their [FroNT] name. This is to avoid confusion on the net between lifetime members and those who wear different "kilts" with equal pride.
On a serious note, those that miss 10 consecutive LANs (or are delinquent in any way) become Inactive and may be required to leave the clan. A vote will be taken of the remaining members with majority rule.
Our members are mostly in their late twenties or early thirties and play with low to moderate skill...
